Back on track--this just begs the question that when the market becomes so saturated with new releases (albeit quality ones) it inevitably has to hit a wall--namely finite gamer $ financial resources. I've never seen a period like this before with so many AAA or near AAA titles coming out in such a short space of time. How can this make business sense? I understand that they want to release in time for the holidays, but still this ridiculous glut has to influence sales--no? If I didn't use gamefly than there's no way I'd be able to buy all these games. I have a feeling that these 07 last quarter releases are going to continue to sell well into the first quarter of 08 b/c no one w/ any semblance of a real life can keep up.
As it stands, I'm mightily struggling:
Deadspace, chapter VI just met up w/Leviathan
Fable II, Reaver just joined the party
Saint's Row II, almost wiped out the Ronin's (I think)
Brothers In Arms HH (Chapter III, killing Nazis in some factory)
Silent Hill Homecoming, completed
SCIV--no friggin practice time--squeezing in some play against the AI but no online grrrr..! Almost completed all achievements.
After this wave will move on to (probably in December-January):
FO III
Left For Dead
Gears II
Mirrors Edge
Legendary (dunno?)
If I can pull this off w/out losing my job, my girlfriend and having my kids turn into derelicts than I should get some sort of 360 live achievement-- something like "Village Idiot" (50 pts) You're a life long gamer, but still haven't mastered the skill of keeping milk in the fridge for your kids breakfast" doh!
