Basic Q&A Thread

I wasn't sure whether to post here or Tira forum, but i guess i have quite a nooby question so here is probably fine. I'm looking through Tiras moves and I see "break attack", and after a bit of research online (not in-game, that would make it easier) I find break attacks give you frame advantage on block, cool. Next I'm trying to land hits in training mode using autoblock computer and break attacks + a variety of attacks. I can't land a single hit. So, I went to look at the frame data, and the frame advantage doesn't seem to be enough to land any move afterwards. Can someone please tell me how I am supposed to be using break attacks? Thanks.

Most break attacks are actually frame traps, you use them to set up your opponent to attack you while you have advantage.

Ex. Sieg's B4 is +10 on block, so after it if they attack they can eat a 3B. Since you have +10 advantage and Sieg's 3B is i18, it will beat all attacks that are slower than i7 and clash with i8. I don't know the Tira specifics but this is still a good example. :D

ok, I understand now. Thanks for the explanation. So i guess the moral is, if your opponent uses a break attack, then you shouldn't try to punish right away.

Exactly. The example I posted always works on my friend who plays Pyrrha. Lol
