nope. lying to make relationships work is normal. being an asshole is telling the truth and expecting people to accept it.

If you're lying to make relationships work, then you weren't being honest to yourself or your girl early in the relationship.

What you want in the relationship should've been made to you AND her very clear from the very start. That, and you just let it naturally progress without trying to force it. Otherwise it's gonna end, and probably not very well.
