Arcade stick question

Hi so I'm in Malaysia on holiday and i found an arcade stick an a DS3 for fairly cheap. There were only two that really interested me in the store. There was a SFIV one there... no idea if it was the TE or not - probably not but it had a white background with the characters on, i cudnt test anything out but its buttons felt good shame it cost way more then the others.

The ones I looked at were:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PS3-Accessory...trkparms=65:12|66:2|39:1|72:1683|293:1|294:50

I think its from hori but it didn't say so on the box. Anyway i got it for 110RM which is only about 19pounds so pretty cheap. It felt ok not as good as they SFIV one but it still was pretty good. Only thing was the buttons were a bit wobbly and i found it hard to slide my fingers across the buttons like you'd do to do JF's.

Other one I didn't know the name cause I didn't buy it so i dnt have the box. All i remeber is it had ps2/ps3/pc stick on the box and it was all black, so i searched for it and pretty sure its this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/UNIVERSAL-PS2...trkparms=65:12|66:2|39:1|72:1683|293:1|294:50

This felt better and more like the SFIV one but it costed more about 150RM so I didn't get it but i'm wonderin if i shud go back and buy it insted. The buttons are a bit wobbly on the FS3 not sure if its meant to be like that.

Also any other sticks I shud try find? Hopefully a cheap one. thnx

And btw can any1 tell me what turbo means? The FS3 has a bunch of little slidy buttons for it to the left corner. Looks cool.

Thnx please reply quick im not at the internet cafe for long lol

Turbo generally means that it repeatedly inputs the button while you hold it. So on a 60 FPS game, you will get 60 (maybe since it must disengage?) inputs of that button per second. Most turbo settings can be changed for speed however.

One idea would be get a crap stick and buy parts. I bought the SFIV TE and even though the parts are top notch, the stick is too loud and the buttons too sensetive so I'm opting for Semietsu's instead of SANWAs. However my friend has a normal SFIV and really i find the buttons to be crap and so I'm offering him my SANWAs. So now he has a decent quality stick (once he replaces that joystick) for cheap. the sanwas are about $2.95 a piece so x 8 = about $24 + price of stick = $104. The TE stick is $150.

Buy parts from here is you're USA...not sure if you are tho:

is a stick really needed for top play at soul calibur 4? do the top players use it. i know for street fighter 4 that is the case, but for SC4?

No you dont need a stick at all if youre comfortable with a pad...SC inputs are pretty easy, a lot of topplayers play pad...
