Abusive moderation on this site

This happens on almost every forum of the internet. Not saying that's an excuse, some moderations I've seen have been blatantly unfair (a couple of them almost seemed like the moderator just felt like moderating something.)

But you couldn't spend a notable amount of time on a forum without seeing a moderation that is just plain laughable.

As for easily countering algol's bubbles. as a maxi player, it's not easy, not easy at all.

Oh yeah I can try impacting them, and right as I do that he can do his little front flip stance A.

Or I can step like a mad man and take about 15 of the 60 seconds to get close enough to even try anything without getting hit by bubbles.then there is still the issue of actually getting an attack in before a bubble hits me or he A+Ks behind me (and if he should do it right as I input for the attack then I'm going to at the very least get a bubble up the ass.

Is Algol cheap? I don't think so. Is he unbalanced? In my opinion, yes, but only very little. (I've never encountered an algol player who could consistently beat me that wasn't clearly just better than me.)

What I'm trying to say is don't call the bubbles easy to get around, I may be able to get by them very easily with say...Cervantes. But Maxi and Rock is a whole other story.

a) Yes, yes they are. You're foolish if you think "something is powerful" without having thought of every single countermeasure.

b) Hilde and Algol are causing problems because people won't accept them? What is the problem, are you too good with them? Are your opponents just not as good as you are? What are you arguing?

Someone makes a thread about the "future of Soul Calibur", asking how its future iterations will change the series.
The pack of anti-Hilde/Algol idiots swarm it, bitching about how Hilde/Algol are killing SC4 and its future. (Yes, I loaded this statement. Deal with it.)

THERE'S ALWAYS TWO SIDES. If you refuse to see the other side, you're as good as a troll in my opinion. Just because I'm on one side, doesn't mean I'm not listening to what you people are saying. Yes, we know Hilde is really powerful. Yes, I do know that she may be destroying the current SC4 scene. Yes, I think there are some solutions (barring Namco patching her which will never happen) that we as the community can employ. But, dear god guys, fucking keep it in ONE PLACE. I'm willing to read through two or three threads. Not ten or fifteen, and not derailed ones. Christ in a basket...

c) Who are the trolls? YOU ARE! The people who refuse to listen to others. That's the definition of a troll, too stupid to understand anybody else telling them something. I'm not a troll; I give my opinion, and listen to yours; it doesn't have to change mine, but god damnit if you don't listen and post a response, you're no better than a rock. (or Rock.) My opinion of Hilde has changed, she's still my main, but I've been trying to find balanced ways to tone her down and still make her "fun to play." I'm glad some civil people presented a bunch of evidence to me, not of her broken-ness (she ain't broke), but her not-fun-to-play-against-ness (nobody can beat me as Hilde locally, even when I play any other charcter). I get it second hand; it's never any contest for them. It's also cause I'm very good compared to most of my local players, but still, I've been listening. The locals have been whining, I tell them that if they want to play tourney level, they'll have to play against me and Hilde. They don't want that, they want fun; I play X or Kilik (har har) instead. Or I goof off as Hilde.

But I've been listening, and doing something about it. If you can't do the same thing for our side, you're no better than a troll.

P.S. Is that quote in Ceirn's sig a joke? I always thought you were on our side, and quite frankly, it's one of the most hilarious jokes ever. I was thinking of quoting it to my friends as "lawl balance issues. This quote is so funny! Noobs don't even bother to try to find all the answers, and they wonder why they lose..." If that isn't a joke...you need to...uh...yeah. That'd put everything into perspective, for everyone else here...

Oh! I get your joke! You think the moderators are the trolls!

They're allowed to state their opinion, just as you are. But first and foremost, they've got a job to do. Keeping clutter off our boards.

Right now, don't cry tears because it's YOUR clutter. If I were cluttering up the boards with a bunch of threads that we already had, I'd have gotten the message already myself, and just posted in the other ones that existed, where my posts belonged, instead of posting them EVERYWHERE hoping more posts = higher chance of it happening.

NEWS FLASH. It won't. More evidence = higher chance of it happening.
 
I'm glad the mods are cracking down on ban threads it gets tiring seeing "Hilde/Algol/Xiangua/Kilk/Yoda ban threads every two weeks and I do listen to the other side but most of it just seems like paranoia/bitching/whining to me due to a lack of evidence to support they're claims that said character is destroying the community.(I play Hilde but do not use the doom combo and I bind)
