THE MAIN REASON WHY PEOPLE ARE STUPID

People are entitled to their opinions, but I'm not forcing them to anything. If people are hesitant to speak their honest minds, I consider them sissies. At least @Sett gets my respect for saying what was on his mind. Someone wants to debate and I watch certain passive trolls who aren't willing to share their opinions? Oh well, that just tells me my relationships with some 8wayrunners are surface deep......especially when I want to get to know a person better.
I'm referring to more than just what they post in the threads, it's more of my outlook on atheism, but you're right, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and beliefs, I was just voicing my opinion on atheism.

While I'm an avid believer in the LORD JEEZUS CHRIST (due to my upbringing), there is a contradiction within that which we identify God that I find odd. Read on assuming that one of the qualities of God is his omnipotence.

Premise 1: Should God be able to do anything (omnipotent), in theory God should be able to make an unmovable object.

Premise 2: Should God then go and try to move said unmovable object, one of two things will happen.

Premise 2A: Should God move the unmovable object he has thus failed to create an unmovable object meaning that he was not able to do something. (not possible for an omnipotent being)

Premise 2B: Should God be unable to move the unmovable object, he has thus failed to do something. (Once again, not possible for an omnipotent being).

Conclusion: God cannot be logically omnipotent. aka God CAN'T do any/everything. (which comes as a problem to most Christians)

There is a way to avoid this undesirable outcome and that is for a christian to claim that God is beyond our understanding; and thus is not subject to reason/logic.

The problem with this claim lies in the fact that should God be outside of the realm of reason/logic, then how can one claim (logically/reasonably) anything about him and or his will. If he defies logic, you may as well just as likely get into heaven by not repenting and being an overall horrible person. How does this make sense? It's not suppose to because he defies logic; and logically one who is an overall horrible person (that doesn't repent) will not be let into heaven.

A response to this is that one does not need logic to understand God; one only needs faith. At this point neither side can gain any ground and the topic comes to a close (or at least that's how it plays out in my head).

Sorry for the wall of "line-broken" text. I kinda just looked through like the last two pages of the forum and saw a opportunity to throw some philosophical B.S. in lol. I'll leave if I'm not welcome XD.

Oh dear, this thread... As much as I wish to stay out of the shitstorm, there's a couple points I feel obligated to address.

@MightyOmega not all atheists are like this, just like not all theists are retarded like Ken Ham. You'be be dead wrong to regard this issue as a simple theist-atheist dichotomy, it a lot deeper than this. I'd rather not get to the specifics given the decaying quality of discourse in this thread, so here's the abridged version (EDIT: clearer graph):

Now, having said that... PROVE TO ME THAT THERE ISN'T AN INVISIBLE UNICORN FLYING OVER MY HOUSE. WHAT IS THAT? YOU'RE SAYING THAT'S RIDICULOUS? HOW ARROGANT OF YOU!

This is what you guys sound like. This is what you sound like every single day.
Sure there's logic and we like to control stuff, but you have to ask yourself who made mankind?
Do you know what evolution is? I know this sounds condescending, but it's a genuine question.
Why was a Bible left for us?
Because Roman clerics realized that the only way for their shrinking peasant population to remain stable and controllable was to introduce an extreme form of fundamentalism that subjugated the barbaric culture of the Germanic invaders, so they stole the Jewish religion (which had proven to work as a method for survival to the Jewish people)and added a romanticized version of the liberation movement for greater appeal to the masses. After some editing, the Emperor declared "Christianity" the new imperial religion and released what is now known as the Christian Bible.
Why does the sky have to be blue?
What does this have to do with anything?

I'm not sure I grasp your argument, or what it has to do with these other questions you asked. Are you saying that you don't care about man-made beliefs, except for when that premise contradicts your personal biases and mythology? I could make the exact same argument as a Muslim, or a Buddhist, or a Jew, or a goddamned Scientologist. Or are you saying that since your parents taught you to love God, it'd be disrespectful towards them to develop your own opinion? Please skip all the rhetorical questions and get to the point of your argument, because I'm honestly having a hard time understanding what you say.

Dogmatic stuff
The general point is certain people forget why God is important in our lives. There's not a day I wished Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus for instance had great parents who discipline them to set them straight. Or the fact people sleep around so much that there's many baby mamas, divorces, and stuff.

I pray to God I honor his word for every last one of us were born sinners(even those popes). I am not perfect, but at least know despite being a sinner, I at least want to be in a place of eternal life and not some highway to hell.

Part of the reason why I'm trying hard to be of any use to God, is he isn't gonna move for you unless you do something like putting what the Bible says to action. He says no fornication, I simply obey because I know what happens. Parents may have spanked me, but I ultimately appreciated it because now I'm not easily swayed to opinions. This doesn't make me better than anyone else as I'm too earnest and courteous.

If it does, than why is it I can put up with criticism and ridicule just for doing right and still forgive you, Norik?

The gist
Christians rebuke you not because they think they're better, but because they want to help. Like a parent to a child. The main rhetorical question is: do you want God to change your life or do you prefer doing things your way? Whatever you choose, stick with it. I'm not putting a gun to your head if what you do makes you happy, but happiness is limited once we achieve things on our own understanding.

Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.

I think that's what you're trying to say in a nutshell.
