EXCEPT FOR THEM EXPLICITLY STATING THAT IT’S ABOUT AN “ALL-IN-ONE HOME ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM”. IF SOMEONE BEGINS TO PORTRAY THEMSELVES GOING IN AN ALL-NEW DIRECTION, THEY DON’T HAVE TO FILL IN THE BLANKS IN ORDER FOR YOU TO CONCLUDE THEY PROBABLY DON’T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT FOCUSING ON THEIR ROOTS TO THE SAME DEGREE ANYMORE.

AND EVEN IF THEY SUDDENLY DO PROVE OTHERWISE, IT’S THEIR OWN DAMN FAULT FOR MISLEADING PEOPLE WITH SUCH FALSE IMPRESSIONS. IF PEOPLE DIDN’T HAVE THESE REACTIONS, THEY’D BE WORSE OFF IN THE LONG-TERM, INEFFICIENT AT LIFE AND UNABLE TO READ BETWEEN LINES.
I love you so much, never leave me.

Curious, who told you they weren't focusing on games? Statements like this bother me because it's a serious leap in logic to try and think that. We've heard about the DRM and about their "extra" stuff, but while they haven't talked directly about what games are coming yet (E3 right around the corner again, blah blah blah) I haven't seen anything that said they are explicitly NOT focusing on playing games. Can I please see that link?
Like others have said, 3GB of RAM at all times will be dedicated to apps, more will certainly be used by background processes. That and it wasn't stated by MS that this would be a "gaming console" - it was stated/implied that it was to be an "all-in-one home entertainment" console.

Funny how people are insulting the Xbox One for replacing your Cable Box, it's the stupidest statement ever. Why didn't I say back in 2005 "HOW DUMB! The PS3 plays DVDs too? That's what my DVD player is for duuuh!" Jesus... people and their blind hate...
We're insulting it because the XBO's cable box replacement..whatever is going to be much more expensive than, y'know, regular TV, Annd if you already have a TV subscription, well, fuck you, you're paying for this shit too. Nobody would be angry about the live TV feature if it didn't cost us money, or at least a lot fewer of us would be.
Also, one thing I notice nobody has addressed about this: What if you have multiple TVs in your house that you.. well, watch TV on? Are you going to need a separate XBO for every television in your house if you intend to watch TV?
Also, will the Live TV be included in the price of your XBL subscription, or will it be a separate charge? My guess is yes, and if so, that's not a good thing.

Or if you want TV shows on your gaming console, keep your 360 and get a 10 dollar a month subscription to Hulu+.

not really sure so I can't really say it as fact but I would assume that there would be some workaround or deal made with local cable television companies. similar to how apple has deals with wireless companies for their phones. Pretty sure instead of a box, comcast/charter what allow you to use your xboxone as the cable box for that one tv. seeing as I have multiple cable boxes with charter, I don't think there will be some link that links all your tvs to one box. Unless something like that exists.. then yes. you can have one xbox one to watch tv in all rooms. but if it doesn't well then you either have xbox on one tv or you're going out to best buy to buy more. (kinda smart in a stupid kind of way... I see what you're doing microsoft, unless that's not what you're doing in which case it's just well.. me speculating) Ultimately, it's something you'll have to ask your cable provider if that deal is made. Or, you'll have to sit tight until microsoft lets out more details on the cable..

kinda redundant considering most households do this already. There are people who pay for xbox live as well as have a cable bill. what's changed here? if it's included, great. less money to spend. if not. then nothing has changed.. unless it's the random third option where you're paying for live tv, xbox live, and cable. then you're just an idiot. but.. would you really go out of your way to pay for three or four or five depending on your cable package separate fees? god i hope not. I'm not ragging on you by the way, i'm just speculating here. cause you know.. speculation is fun. so don't take me the wrong way.. i'm just.. you know. spitballing.

or.. and this is just an or... you can download your shows and stream whatever you want from your pc to your xbox. or use your xbox browser to hit up the website and watch it streaming from there..that way you can save your money! well... you're spending money on your cable internet bill, so it's not technically saving all your money... but you're not paying as much? that'll work. less subscription fees to deal with. fun!

capitalism.. gotta love it. They're taking your hard earned money for random things that you should have gotten for free!!! i mean yo.. have you ridden around delta flights today? dude these micro payment things... gotta pay for your headset. gotta pay to watch a movie on your flight!!!! THAT'S INSANE!!! I hate to say it but I remember a time where that shit was given to you as a courtesy. now they're like yo.. I need that dollar from you. and i'm like really? you're going to sexually harass me at a terminal. make me get scanned total recall style (the old arnold one not the remake), and then you're just going make me sit in a plane for three hours or fork over that money so i can watch a movie that is shitty quality. and make me pay for the headphones too.. REALLY?!?! my god... that song "I need a dollar" really has meaning these days..
