I just want a video games console to play video games. I have a computer for pretty much everything else the Xbox One does, and I'll be damned if I'm paying extra for shit I don't need.
I feel as if the XBox One isn't goin g to be as good at playing games as a "next-gen" console should be because they're trying to make the system a do-everything machine, not a "play games really really well" machine.

Curious, who told you they weren't focusing on games? Statements like this bother me because it's a serious leap in logic to try and think that. We've heard about the DRM and about their "extra" stuff, but while they haven't talked directly about what games are coming yet (E3 right around the corner again, blah blah blah) I haven't seen anything that said they are explicitly NOT focusing on playing games. Can I please see that link?

To me the stuff I've been hearing for months already has left me cold.

1) Mandatory Kinect.

2) Hardware was designed to constantly run apps. 3GB of ram is dedicated to doing just that.
3) MS has stated that they deliberately didn't aim for the strongest tech.
4) The unveiling.

Feels more like they're trying to be Apple than trying to make a coherent game system.
