Dragon's Dogma

fighting the archydra atm...and my main pawn (a mage) won't use fire affinity. ever. i keep saying help (with both the left and right on the pad) but all she does is halidom or anodyne lol.
The right help is the healing one. Left is the buff one.
I found the story in DD to be pretty straight forward honestly. Unless there is something I missed.
You learn more about the deeper meaning in your 2nd playthrough. I'd recommend doing the final quest in Post Game in offline mode.

the end isnt when you beat that dragon?

I hate every single one of you.

After much pestering, a pal of mine persuaded me to rent this thing. And dammit, it's stupidly fun to just run around kiling things on the way between quests. I'm going to end up just getting DDDA in a couple weeks when I was expecting Dienasty Warriors to be the only game I get at full price this year. I blame you guys, hence the mention of hate.

Where's a good spoiler-free overview of things? I'm tempted to just check out any Wiki for it I can find, but being told and reading of hints at the main story having a degree of subtlety has me intrigued enough to be concerned about spoilers.
