As a kid I collected a lot of things, but they all wound up mostly worthless. That said maybe I should have been buying magic cards instead of baseball cards. Those things appreciate like a mofo. Some better than others naturally, but almost every card that exists can find a place in somebody's oddball deck.

I bet their are people out there with the power nine and other old cards and dont know how much their sitting on

My collection as a whole, maybe. But it would be tough to find a buyer today I think, plus they aren't worth what you think.
We all think this though, buying Magic cards, that the rarest of the bunch is going to be worth something when you're older. It will be worth something when the game is gone, that's when things like this actually become truly rare. I didn't have a Black Lotus or anything else that was reeaaallly expensive, some stuff that if I looked up now it might have some value. But it's all gone, so whatever.
