Well file sizes causing instability are not the same as bugs. I was referring to the quest or gamebreaking bugs you might see at the games launch like "Sunny shoots you on sight." for instance. Now that said, both fo 3 and new Vegas did have that problem, but one: the average person won't play the game long enough to have a problem, even through to completion, two: the map in NV is smaller which helps with object tracking and three: I'm trying to get him to play a game we both love, so accentuate the positive. You don't make a sale by focusing on the bad points so lets focus on the "incredible game" part for now shall we? Then after solo has signed the papers and paid for the undercoating, and only then, do we tell him about the bodies that were found in the trunk. The game is not THAT unstable. You make it sound unplayable. I've been playing on a console since the release on saves that have hundreds of hours behind them. Of course, you might have been using energy weapons, which tend to accumulate permanent corpses and inflate that file size really quickly.
My favorite bug ever: fiends turned a traveling trader into a goo pile with a plasma weapon. She respawned. Anytime I activated that goo pile, the camera would zoom to wherever she was in the world then pan in on her face just so she could say "Yeah?" and "What?". So yeah we both know it's not entirely bug free, but I didn't mean it that way. Poor choice of words maybe.
