VW Jetta is an awesome choice. I've had 1997 Jetta GT since new and other than routine maintenance I've replaced the starter and brakes. They aren't that expensive to maintain because they hardly ever require it. VW makes some great cars!

This i cannot argue. Vw dies make some good cars. They also make more shitty ones. But thise were older models. As a mechanic for most of my life ive grown to hate vw. Just fir the simple fact they are a bitch to work on. They require special expensive tools, out of ordinary procedures and just weird german engineering.

They are for the most part a good car. Vwhas come a long way. It wouldnt be a horrible choice
