Hawkeye defeats Keev to win MLG Fighter's Arena!

I saw nothing being said when in several streams Kayane was openly cheering for her French counterparts. Not only that, I find it hypocritical when someone who comes here repeatedly and talks about how Europe is the best and how they own the US blah blah blah (I'm paraphrasing) is now talking about how we should all be impartial. Especially now that the European monster that is Keev has suffered a couple of defeats here. That was thrown in our face a couple of times if you all remember. If you keep poking at us we definitely have the right to poke right back.

Regardless it's not that serious and I really wish people would keep community dividing opinions to themselves. Granted it's not all that serious but it does plant the seed for more discontent when we should all be uniting. Give us our little rivalries and know that it's all in fun.

P.S.
Go and watch the Cannes 2010 vids when Thugish went there by himself and was surrounded by people jeering him and not to mention they had the French version of Filthie Rich on the mic cheering Scud on. Then tell me how impartial the rest of the world is while us stinking Americans are so unprofessional.

I suppose I'm not being as clear as I'd like. Please, please get hyped. Hype is amazing! All I'm saying is get hyped because Hawkeye (or Keev or OmegaDR or whoever) is a goddamn badass snappin' nerd's necks, not because of where they're from. Yes, rivalries make for good stories and they get people's butts in the seats so to speak, but there was plenty to hype on in that match that wasn't just -AMERICA!!- and the fact that -AMERICA!!- detracted (in quite a few of our minds) from the actual commentary should be noted, evaluated and addressed.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that regional rivalries can and should add something to the overall narrative that goes on in our community, but it can be overdone and begin to detract from the experience especially when overemphasized in the middle of proceedings which is what I and a few others feel happened.

And not to be argumentative but I and several more, like I would say the majority, were getting super hype when we were yelling AMERICA everytime Hawkeye won a match. It was all in fun and it was something most of us could relate to. We were all marching under the same banner.
