Not only that community should I add. I've been declined job offers based on my looks. And I will certainly kiss some jobs goodbye with my present haircut.

Sorry, but I can't say that it only happens in the gay community. You'd be a fool to think only gay people judge.......str8 men and women are just as bad, if not worse than we are. Being that some of us strive more then others to make such stand-out appearances , it can be viewed as a cliche of the famous Plastiques clique. When you're gay, you have to step your game up in every way, so you're not just seen as another abominable disfigurement to society.

As a freelance translator, I don't have any problem. Problems arrive when I try to work as a teacher... I'm just good enough to do temping jobs... And my pierced ears don't help either! Oh well, I'm ok that way now :) And that's why I play the amateur models xD
