Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3

Good to See that we see eye to eye as of how Cap should be played. As for Zero i really do think hes the best battery simply because every combo you would end with Rekkoha ( needs hard knockdown to use it ) can be finished with Sentsuizan xx lv3 Buster, Light Raikousen, Ryuenjin. This ender does like 35 000 less than using the hyper finish but saves you 1.5 meter more which in my opinion is GODLIKE. You can do easy 7k ish combo meterless with Zero which is ridiculous given how much his mix up game is strong now. In a month or two he will be horribly powerful in the right hands but ill be playing SC V so its okay :D

Alright so I am thinking that I might want to pick up someone else besides Hawkeye. I was thinking of either learning Dante, Vergil or Strider. I mean with the missle assist and having Dark hole for lock down I think I can pretty much toss in someone stronger than Hawkeye for when my zoning can't win a match. Out of those 3 who would mesh the best with Doom and Dorm?
Dante would be best. I used to play Dante/Doom, and I can tell you right now that it's pretty damn stupid. I don't know as much about Dante/Dorm, but I reckon that something like Stalking Flare xx Devil Trigger is really crazy. Or you could Million Dollars xx Stalking Flare, then raw tag in Dante to continue the combo.

Been trying to learn VJ. Any tips?

Stay in the air and throw them boomarangs, seeing he has a really hit box in the air it seems to be the best thing for Joe to do.

Oh crap that seems so awesome and I think Dante can zone better than either Vergil or Stider so I would always have options. I also think Dante has an easier time building up meter so I could just build meter and bring Dorm out to fill the screen with Stalking Flares and then bring in Dante to have an insane amount of mix-up options. I'll probably be asking you for Dante advice and stuff since he will be a completely new character for me, but it wont be for a while since I'm still figuring out how to zone with Hawkeye.

Dante can zone really well. Basics:
-Air Play (j.236M) is your go-to projectile, especially at normal jump height.
-Hysteric (236H) is used for mixups, not just zoning. Call assist + hysteric, then teleport into mixup, for example.
-Acid Rain (236L~L) is primarily used on incoming characters for a full screen mixup, but the way I use it from fullscreen is in-between assists and other moves to cover Dante. Even if the opponent somehow penetrates my defense, they get clipped by the Acid Rain if they press a button. Pretty cool.
-In Devil Trigger mode, Dante gains access to the best beam in the game (j.236S) + a flight mode (214S; air OK). Devil Trigger's beam + Hidden Missiles is one of the dirtiest things I've seen in the game. The opponent is pretty much at Dante's mercy when all that's going on. Really hard to get in on, and if they somehow manage to do that, you can just do Vortex (j.623S) which is fully invincible and fullscreen, then do j.S after it hits and get a full combo.

Other notable moves that have some zoning purposes:
-Crystal (236M): Basically a move that you'll use when they're at half-screen. Huge hitbox, and comes out even if you get hit.
-Drive (236S): Probably the least useful of his projectiles, but still nice from time to time. I use it a lot more than most people, but that's because I play like a retard.
-Multi-Lock (236L) gets the "least used move from Dante's movelist" award as far as I know. Grants free teleport mixup, and a free combo on hit if you teleport into j.H. I'll need to experiment more with this to see what other uses it has.

He's a really good battery too, as you mentioned. Feel free to ask questions anytime.

Also, Hawkeye's zoning = press H for GDLK arrows.
