BattleField 3

Crap I got distracted and posted early oh well. Got a question any of you know about modding/hacking? I ask this cause I played a dude today already forgot his name on xbl whatever. Every time this guy killed me I never saw him not once (No he's not that good). Also when it would show the killcam it would show a wall and a dead body. So I look at his equipment it shows the killcam. He got a PKP LMG I'm like huh ok thats interesting cause this dude is level 1 with a PKP which btw is the third LMG, so no matter how good you are its impossible literally to have that gun at 1.

This happened the same way 3-4 times in a row I also look at his K/D this man is 20/2 his team moves up to the next set of points. I try and defuse A again same thing happens don't see him he kills me I see the kill cam same thing yet again dead body in the wall now level 2 still with a PKP wtf.

Mind you I don't use the term hack/mod loosely. I'm not one of those whiney people who anger easily and whine when someone is better and or got the better of me at one point in time. Thats just silly hell this is actually the first time. I accuse someone of something like that. I also thought it could be lag but that just doesnt seem likely.

didnt need it in the last game?!?!?????..............................................................You were one of 'them'!

So yeah I'm just gonna blatantly kill the joke and ask. What? Cause I don't get it but hey at least I can see your being sarcastic go me.

Had a weird glitch when playing yesterday. When in the underground sections (at the second and thrid bases) I had a graphical glitch where grey triangles would show up and block my aiming. They moved around the screen and changed shape as I moved so it wasn't a horrific problem it just was really annoying and got me killed a few times.

Shit you wanna talk glitches my goodness I'm starting to encounter more and more everytime I play. I would name all them off but I just had way to many. So I'll mention the funny one well to me and the most interesting one. So I spaw by squad mate all of a sudden I start flying hit my head on the invisible ceiling then fall to my death. I'm like "Oh? How wonderful" turns out I'm actually just assuming. One of my squad mates was standing the missiles that go off randomly in the first area. They kinda resemble SAM Turrets don't know the proper name for them. Well anyway a squad mate was standing near one of them and I just so happened to spawn on it so fun times.

Well spotting was VERY important in BF2 and it was very frustrating having team members who didn't acknowledge the importance of basics like this. Even if the tag doesn't benefit you directly it did a few things:
  • Warn allies of campers
  • Tell allies you've engaged a target to help assist or finish them off if you die
  • Give allies an idea of enemy location to plan a flank or avoid areas
  • Provide insight on where enemies are coming from to root out a spawn anchor
  • Help recon determine a good location to drop a mortar strike
  • Expose targets hiding in buildings so people can start throwing grenades and missiles at the structure.
  • etc...
Knowing where the enemy is can be incredibly important for not just you, but your teammates. Target EVERYTHING.

I love BF3 for its team interaction, but that could have a double edge effect with players who didn't help properly. Players that camped and didn't advance the line (yes snipers are fine...but they need to move up and aide the line, not hit random targets like most do) were a wasted slot. They would also limit your chance of a good respawn. Players that don't target leave you with false sense of security that areas in front of them appear safe. Players that all group together and not cover angles give false sense of security to team and can lead to devastating flanks and general in effectiveness by over saturating only one angle...as well of fucking up the shot of others. Etc... I love BF teams, but I REALLY hope they add a good system for fairly balancing how they assign teams and maybe even squads. It sucks being on an incompetent team that is vastly out played by the other. Can't tell you how many times I've flanked like 10 people for a free rush and people just stared at it till i got killed and the enemy retook the area uncontested. Or simply had an ally get in my way and not help cover me, giving me false sense of security that I was covered by the angle he should've been covering.

In BF even if you suck at getting kills and maybe get killed a lot yourself, you can still be a good team mate by doing things to help your team be efficient. This is really what separates it from COD. In COD the only real advantage of a team is to thin the number of hostiles and provide an idea of where an enemy likely is or isnt by what spaces they occupy and UAVs...beyond that you're a one man army and team work isnt too big an issue.

Oh right of course yes I'm one of those. A greedy selfish guy thats my prey and no one else I need to level up and screw everyone else me me me.

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo WRY?!?!?!?!

lol naw, my statement wasn't directed at you in it's entirety as it expanded well beyond that. It was just general grief i get playing BF. Love the game, but I can get mad at teammates real quick. Your comment on it not seeming useful in BC2 just kinda caught my eye tho.

Yeah I'm to lazy to see what I said but I'm pretty sure I said for the most part I didn't need it. Not that I didn't use it at all. I was confident I could kill someone in 2. In BF3 every weapon kicks like mad so its takes time to get used to. Which I'm finally getting used to got foregrip on everything.
