What do you do for a living?

I work at one of the biggest medical(Hospital) corporations in the U.S.
Right now I am just a receptionist but my duty's are a lil bit more heavier then your regular checking in receptionist....
I work in the Radiology department, so I have to book CTs, MRIs, Ultrasounds, X-Rays, Bone Density's, Mammograms...ect.
It's a pretty hectic work environment since you're dealing with more then just ONE department. Took me a while to get used to it since I came from a filing department, where our job was to basically eat cake and do absolutely nothing, lmao! So it was definitely a big change but also a very exciting challenge.

I'm also currently going back to school to get a bachelors in Diagnostic Imaging to become a Radiology Technologist (basically an X-Ray Tech), but my goal is to be an MRI technologist because they bring in the big $$$.

Tag deserves one of these more than I do. Instead of wrenchs Tag, imagine phones and crazy people

My favorite aunt has worked for Kindrid hospital for more than 40 years at the front desk. Ive seen her in action, literally with a phone on each ear, files in each hand and bitching doctors on either side. I for sure couldnt do that shit. But she is straight OG gangster reciptionist lady!!

Yeah...a lot of people think that I just sit on a desk, take peoples money and hand their receipt....fuck no....it's A LOT more then that, at least in MY department.
You gotta know your medical terminology and ask patients questions in regards to their exams and schedule it on the right time slot...because if not...you got EVERYONE (manager/lead/tech) hunting your ass to yell at you.
I've YET to get yelled at TBH.
But that's because I'm a fast learner and I can adapt a lot faster then normal when I get hands on.
I used to stress going to work, but now that I know everything like the back of my hand...it's like w/e. :P
