Xenosaga and Xenogears

I was curious if anyone here every played any of the Xenosaga games. This trilogy has to be one of my favorite game series of all time, despite its flaws. Any Xenosaga or Xenogears fans out there?
 
I never was fortunate enough to play Xenogears (Yes I know it's awesome, that's what everyone says). Played Xenosaga 1 and 2. Loved the first one. Hated the second one. Didn't bother with 3 since 2 put such a bad taste in my mouth.

So, I can't say I'm a fan of the Xenosaga series. I'm a fan of the first one and I do love the characters. It's just unfortunate that the series got shafted in 2 and gave the series the bad it has now (the gameplay of the second was retarded as well). 3 tried to save it, but after 2, not many (including myself) really cared.
 
Ditto on the general Xenosaga trend: played 1 and enjoyed the characters and plot, but then 2 made me wish I hadn't spent the money on the game. My brother has played 3 and keeps telling me to give it a chance because it actually has a solid gameplay system, but the shadow of 2 just won't go away. =/

Xenogears... was a fantastic game, though I felt like it was really strongest in the earlier acts. Disc 2, where the team clearly ran out of budget... still some great plot there, but the gameplay took a hit.

I agree that 2 was a disappointment, but 3 was definitely the best of the trilogy. You should definitely make a point of playing it (especially since it's cheap now) if you played 2.

Xenogears was great on the first disc, but horrible on the second. It felt far, far, too rushed.
