Xbox One Discussion

I would never buy a console for the sake of one game. Although, on this little side conversation I'll have to defend ME3 as well. The very end was bad, don't get me wrong, but I still loved everything leading up to it. And it was at least a little better when they added to it with the DLC.

But anyways, if Sony also decides to commit financial suicide and emulate what the Xbox One will be doing with DRM, I just won't be buying a next gen system. It's just not worth it. The slightly improved graphics aren't that big of a deal to me, and games will keep coming out for the current gen for a few years anyways.

Scratch that. If the PS4 follows the Xbox One into the grave, I'll just buy one of the third-party systems that will no doubt show up to topple the giants.

But at this point, I highly doubt Sony will be stupid enough to do this as well. Think of the colossal competetive edge they'll have just by not being retarded. See how many Xbox players are already looking to jump ship here? It's basically the same everywhere. I sort of expect Microsoft to go basksies on this now that they've seen the backlash, but if they don't they're pretty much fucked. They'll be driven out of the console business in a few years. The modern Dreamcast, just replace the innovation with shit-tons of unnecessary fees.

ME is just a series that used to be decent but became yet another shooter from a gameplay standpoint. It's pretty much Gears and Gears is a very dull game.

About the consoles though. That "3rd party" system you're talking about is called a PC.

I can see where you're coming from with that. ME1 was by far my favorite, and I was really disappointed with the lack of RPG elements in 2 and 3. But I still enjoyed both of them, and still consider them both to be some of the best current gen games.

And no, not in my case at least. I have a pretty nice laptop but it can't run high-end games very well. Besides, I only really like to play certain games on the PC, usually strategy games like Civilization. I don't like how most things handle with a keyboard. I know they sell USB controllers, but the two I bought in the past were terrible, so I'm sort of biased against getting another. I can see the merits of PC gaming, but I'll probably always prefer a console.
