Why do you main the characters you main today?

Astaroth

Because I was pissed that they took away Kilik and wanted to beat the hell out of people in the most painful looking way possible. The big guy does not disappoint.

Soul Calibur series
Yoshimitsu. I like quirky tricksters with good mix-ups. Add the fact he's a bit looney, goofy, yet an awesome looking ninja(though he dresses like a samurai) and I'm there. I thank Sc2 for getting me to love this cool character.

Whatever Street Fighter game(Alphas, USSFIV, etc)
Sakura Kasugano for whatever Street Fighter game. While Ryu and Dan are fun, I ought to spend time getting her right. When I first saw her, I became attracted to main a genderbend of Ryu. Only thing was her personality was tomboyish. I particularly like hard working yet spunky tomboyish girls such as Asuka Kazama and Seong Mi-na. That aside, I'm interested in improving with her.

DOA5U
Kokoro, Momiji, and Zack. Zack for lulz, Momiji because I ought to try out this lovely lady, Kokoro because that's who I want to main: a lovely ba-ji maiko that can fight.

Tekken series
Yoshimitsu and Asuka Kazama. See Street Fighter and Soul Calibur opinions.

Everything else I didn't mention
I dabble around until I find mains that click with me. Then, all I need is some competition and I'm there.

Am I tripping balls or didn't I post in this thread before? Other peoples posts, I remember. That, & I remember posting in a thread like this before, but I don't have a post in here. DEX is extra confused... o.o

I must of been dreaming I guess, but anyways.

SC Main
Asta: Because I love huge weapons with massive power to crush my foes, with very long range to control the map.

Guardians of Middle Earth (GOME) Main
Great Goblin: Because he symbolates my play style of how I am exactly. He's a tank with the highest health & defense, & cannot be killed easily. He's strong enough to take on all 5 players if played very pro like with him. Something hardly any guardian is capable of doing.

DOA5
Helena: I figured I needed to move to someone else who wasn't as big & berserker like this time, so I thought why not give someone else a shot. Sometimes its not us who are the harder ones to play as, but it's the littler ones. So I looked at her the most & made my decision to go with her.

That's all I got pretty much; the rest are just characters that you have to make in order to play the game. I'm not sure if it'd be okay if I say which class I chose to main for the characters I make in other games. Lol

MK - Kitana, Sub Zero and later before stop playing that crap game -> Noob Saibot and Skarlet who have such a great move set and stylish combos *_* I still love the mk universe but i hate the gameplay ( unblockable resets, chip dmg for everything, bla... ) XD

IGAU - Bane from the beginning on but after 2 weeks i've dropped that game... reason? -> NRS ...at least the game looks really nice.

UMvC3 - Loved that game. My team was 1st - Deadpool / Nemesis , 2nd - Deadpool / Nemesis , 3rd - Trish
I was also playing Jill Valentine but i had so many problems with her "feral crouch" inputs that i had to dropp her :/
( i should get a new umvc3 version cos i really want to play it again atm :D )

Killer Instinct - Orchid and Spinal. Orchid just from the new KI on and Spinal was always my favorite character in KI since my childhood. So... yeah. ( but in generel i love every char from KI. Only Sadira can be patched out, lol )

DoA5 - Christy and Sarah Bryant. The game looks so nice and organic and i love all the fighting styles but i've dropped it cos i don't really like the whole counter system :/

VF 5:FS - Brad Burns ( cos i looove Muay Thai *_* ) , Sarah Bryant, Eileen and at last i tried to train Goh Hinogami cos i just love his rough attitude and gameplay. He looks just badass. *crossed fingers for VF6*

SCV - Hilde is my main number one. Love her and her gameplay. She's not too braindead so i'm really happy with her.
My other mains are ZWEI, Yoshimitsu and Nightmare. ZWEI is such an challenge and so funny to play. I just love him for being such a nice setup character.
Yoshi is ... well, he's simply Yoshi :D Love his tricky shit and i love JF's, so... :D
Nightmare is badass and simple to play. The opposite pole to all my other characters when i need a break.
Since few days i try to learn Maxi. I've just started to play him cos i always hated it to fight him. Now after playing him i really like him XD He's not as easy as i thought...

Street Fighter
Bison: I've played Bison since the days of SF2. I like his over-the-top supervillain design, his awesome moves (Psycho Crusher is what caught my attention to him), and his playstyle as it's balanced enough to where I can freely choose to go aggressive or passive.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3
Wesker/Taskmaster/Dormammu: 2 of my favorite villains from Marvel and Capcom, and one who I had never even heard of until his announcement but ended up liking him anyway due to his versatility.

Soul Calibur
Mitsurugi: Liked him ever since SC1. He's easy to get into and reminded me of Haohmaru from Samurai Shodown (imagine my surprise when I found out he actually got Haohmaru's costume in SC2).
Cervantes: He's a badass pirate design, dual wields, and has Bison's Psycho Crusher.

Tekken
Feng: I always wanted a Shaolin monk-esque character in Tekken, and I finally got one with Feng. I like how his moveset just has a lot of really good moves so I don't have to rely on landing a signature move, and the fact that he can be played similarly to Bison, as in calm one moment and aggressive the next. Formless like water.

BlazBlue
Bang: I used to main him back in the day, but with Azrael and Terumi on the way I'm going to drop Bang, especially now that they changed his English voice actor. I like how he's an homage to pretty much every classic anime there ever was.
Hakumen: He's a badass swordsman who looks like a combination between Sephiroth and Justice from Guilty Gear. His fighting style is also really cool and fits like a glove because I'm a Street Fighter player primarily and he relies a lot on pokes and good spacing.
Terumi: Hazama was too hard. Also, he corpse-beats the opponent after he wins and has the most brutal and flashy fighting style I've ever seen in a 2D fighter.

Mortal Kombat
Raiden: I enjoyed hearing his gibberish noises when he did the Torpedo move, and enjoyed Christopher Lambert's portrayal of him in the movie.
