Who's getting RE5?

Oh no... Tag you like Degeneration? Bleh, I hate how they hit Leon with the bishie stick. He still looked SOMEWHAT like a man in RE4. D: They also gave Claire... Kyrie lips. D:

But alas, I need to finish watching the movie.

Not even remotely interested in buying anymore; I will Gamefly it, though. The characters control like a tank (and before you say it's classic, the game is trying to be an action game, and even in the movie they could reload and fire while moving), the AI for your partner is piss poor, and the atmosphere from RE4 is completely gone. I never felt any tension at all. Granted, it was a demo, but the things I mentioned will not be fixed. The AI might be, but Capcom has always had brain dead AI in its action titles.

Also, RE: Degeneration was almost pure fanservice and no story. Yes, it was fun to watch. But it was by no means a good movie and didn't get me stoked for RE5 at all, which is the intended purpose, what with introducing Tricell and all. I love the RE storyline, but DAMN did they drop the ball here. Now I know why Mikami is hating on RE5 so much. They are butchering his franchise.

And lastly, SF4 is getting a buy from me. Probably CE, but I'm likely to give the extra crap to my friends. Game and movie are win, other stuff not so much.

How different are the controls from RE4?

If they're anything like those, I'll be happy.

And as for the AI, that's what co-op is for.

See, that's the funny thing, and it might make me sound hypocritical. They are the same controls. Or at least the RE4 scheme is available. It's just I have gotten accustomed to the more action-oriented third person shooters (like Gears) and expect something as simple as reloading while moving or *gasp* shooting while moving to work. Instead you stop and wait patiently for the big guy with the chainsaw to remove your head while you fumble with a pistol clip for three years.

Agreed on the co-op point, though.
