Which arcade stick should I buy if I want to start to use them? [Ps3]

Try looking for the WWE All Stars arcade stick from Mad Catz.

Unpopular = cheap.

The stick is literally $30 on Amazon. It's a great starting place for modding (it has quick disconnects and plexis available). Drop some Sanwa/Seimitsu buttons + stick in there and you've got a RAP/TE stick for half the price.

What I forgot to say is that I don't have any esperience in modding and I also think it is better to start with cheap stuff in modding (because I might brake it) than getting the expensive stuff.. I am still not quite sure if I might should just go for the good parts and hope I won't make a huge mistake.

I started to calculate how expensive it would be depending on what I do maybe someone of you has an advice of doing something different.

If I built my stick on my own (NOT modding) it will be around 55,-€ for Stick and Buttons (I can't believe that buttons are so expensive!) and about 60,-€ for the UPCB and the adapter cables(which I might not need I don't actually know if they come in the pack of the UPCB I'll have to research on that).
In total that is about 120,-€ (rounded up).
Then i had to get wood to make a case (which I might already have) and some wires and might some extra stuff that won't be that expensive. So in total about 130-150€.

If I use the stick I posted in my first post and just mod it it will be around 90-110€.
I would buy same buttons and stick so 55,-€ for that and 30,-€ for the arcade stick itself. Then I need wires etc. same as above.

So I would save about 30,-€ if I only mod the stick but I think that will be easier and I can use it for my Pc, my Ps3 and my Wii. If I build it all on my own than I will only be able to play with it on Ps3 (which I mostly need it for but options are nice) and it will be a little more complicated and if I want to dual mod it I had to spent even more money on it.

So what do you think I should do? I pretty much listed all the pros and cons of both options I have. I want to hear some opinions before I decide.

And also do you think what I wrote is realistic or did I totally forget something so it will be much cheaper/more expensive?

I'm not sure why you'd want to build a custom case if you can simply change out the buttons and apply whatever artwork you like for a lot less money.

I watched a video on modding the cheap stick. I suggest you look at a video talking about modding that WWE stick I suggested. Compare the number of steps and hoops one has to jump through to successfully mod either one.

I already watched the modding tutorial for the stick I linked (which is cheaper than the WWE stick at least on amazon) and making a case myself was just an idea maybe I'll just switch buttons and joystick.
The reason I want to built a case on my own it that I want a larger stick because I think it will be more comfortable.
