What is An A Rank?

When I think of an A Rank, I think of someone who doesn't rage quit. Is a talented player, knows their character choices inside and out and always has good sportsmanship, win or lose a match. That is my opinion of an A Rank, and that is the kind of A Rank I strive to be.

Unfortunately this is a delusion; most A ranks are people who use spam to win against other spammers. It's quite simple actually. Getting to A in ranked is not much of an achievement because of this.

Well when you put it in that sense I can understand why its not such a illustrious goal. Admittedly I am guilty of spamming, but I do catch myself. But I can have a goal of standing out amongst most A Rank players. So that's what I will strive for.

1: Let me guess, you're not an A rank, are you?

2: Let me guess, you've run into A rankers that used moves you found dishonorable?

3: "Spamming" is a fictional complaint used by noobs. Lag is the only real complaint in the game, if you run around talking about "spam" you sound just as bad as if you said "stop using those few repetitive mix-ups I don't understand how to deal with!"

4: If you hate "spam" then you should never play Tekken, because you'll learn the hard way why not to backwards Ukemi in front of certain characters. =D

Only two things really bug me about A rank players. The ones who disconnect to keep their precious virtual score, and the ones that still use that "Beginner" tag. I mean for Christ's sake if you have spent enough time to get that little yellow icon next to your name then you no longer qualify as a beginner my friend. And yeah I can understand that some people just don't bother with that stuff but come on, it takes like maybe 10 seconds to change the thing and if you are at that rank you should have quite a few titles unlocked at that point.

I like the term "repetitive attacks" much better than "spamming". Why didn't I think of that? Guess my light bulb is fried.
