Nintendo licensed adult content early. It's only relatively recently that they took the stand on family friendly entertainment. Which brings us to the next point and the glaring omission to this thread - SEGA does what NintenDON'T.
If, specifically, Sony never ventured into the console market with their recycled Walkman parts..... The Saturn would be today's family computer only outsold by the DreamCast. Microsoft is whatever - surely SEGA could've come out with something more sticky than Halo and Whacked!.
