What are the "Must Own" games of PS2?

I'm trying to beef up my PS2 collection since games can be had for dirt cheap these days. Can anyone recommend some good JRPGs? I see so many of them at the store, it makes my head spin trying to guess if a game sucks or not.
 
what kind of JRPGs do you like though? I recommended some earlier in the topic but they are pretty niche except disgaea

final fantasy is a JRPG because the J stands for Japanese and final fantasy is....japanese. so it does count

personally I think the only RPGs worth playing are japanese ones anyway so I don't use the term unless someone else is using it. but hey that's just me. since you haven't played any you get a questionaire


RPG questionaire:
1) prefer 2D or 3D graphics?
2) prefer traditional (turn based, little or no movement usually), action (real time combat and movement), or strategy (usually turn based but with lots of moving units around the map) battle system?
3) lighthearted or gloomy?
4) easy or hard (to play, beat, etc)?
