wow, Kowtow. Just wow. Are you serious? Seems like alone on this.
tag: no. In VS, the entire point is when playing the survivor side, to get as far as you can to the safe room. Your score is based off that(how far you traveled, map difficulty, how many people made it if at all, and if you did make it, the health you and your team have), you don't gain a score as the infected. So every round(map, part of the campaign) the humans are playing race while the infected are playing tactical deathmatch. Then when one team either A. Makes it to the safe room or B. All humans become incaped, unable to defend themselves at all. The teams switch sides on the same map, giving the other team to try their luck in stopping the survivor team.
People whine the game is too random, which tells me people forgot the purpose of L4D. A Different exp. every playthrough. Most of the whines come from Tank spawns. You may get one early in the game, you may never get one, you may get one that the humans have already set on fire(thus you are entering a less than 30 second time limit to play as the big guy), you may get one far away from the survivors, your team may get multiple Tank spawns. Which comes down to this, shouldn't bank your entire ability to win on a single creature. the Tank has 4000 HP(6000 in PC), he can only physically punch one target at a time, the Tank's biggest strengh is the ability to punch objects, which instantly incap survivors on hit, but the time given for him to do so is limited by where he spawns at. But he is not NEEDED to win(though it makes the job a hell of alot easier) Hell as survivor players, we crown witches left and right in VS mode, just so we don't have to put up with them. As either side, the teamwork involved to acheive either side of the goals can be easy as shit to difficult as all hell.
