Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3

Lol yup. If you can it's his best ender since it does much better with damage scaling, but you generally need to have a proper assist to make the combo variant to justify it and still get a DHC. Play around with it in DHC's too! Has a lot of potential since it hits long after you've recovered.

Also I'm having a real tough time justifying the random cross ups Wesker and Vergil do in their hypers. Is there any logic to how these work and why the randomly cross up?!? I find with Wesker you want to stand and block and Vergil you want to duck, but still every now and then I got from blocking to getting nailed in the back of my head for no fucking reason and it's retarded. Any advice?

The trick with these supers is that once you block the first hit, chances are the super will not cross you up because you'll be in constant blockstun. So, the important thing is to maximize the chances that you will be in block animation as soon as the super starts. In a way, you play with geometry.

If you're close to your opponent, stand block normally.

If you're in the middle of the screen and your opponent supers in the corner, jump and block normally.

If you're on opposite corners, crouch and block normally.

Out of those three, the second has the highest chance of randomly crossing you up. In the end, these will just maximize the chance that you won't be crossed up since you're making yourself an easier target to hit.

Oh Cosmic I've been meaning to ask, what are your thoughts on the Viper/Hawkeye match up? I haven't played any real Viper players and I can't gauge how well hawkeye does.
I would give this match to Viper by a significant margin, because the zone where Hawkeye is most effective (ground-to-normal-jump height) is where Viper's game is dominant. Hyper Viper Beam, EX Thunder Knuckle, and Seismos put this match in Viper's favor without assists, because even if Hawkeye manages to get Viper to the other end of the screen, she can EX TK through everything he does, or shoot through it all with the Viper Beam. Hawkeye's mobility is also nothing compared to Viper's. Like basically all of Hawkeye's matchups (Save for a few like Strange, Hsien-Ko, etc.), just play keepaway and don't let Viper get close to you.

Hmm I was had a feeling Viper had the edge in the match-up, those seismos and EX moves really screw up my normal game plan. I haven't really seen her beam attack though but I hear it has really good durability. It's a match-up that is hard to learn with only a few viper players around and the only good Viper player I've ever had a chance to play against was Chrisis, though at the moment I didn't know who he was.

Would you say that if I were to go up against a viper player it would be better for me to use Dante instead?

Hyper Viper Beam has medium durability, so it will shoot through everything but hypers. And yeah, I'd recommend using Dante. I really want to say you should just stick with Hawkeye, but once Viper's being played nearer to her full potential, it's going to be very rough for characters that aren't S tier to contend against her.

And you got to play Chrisis? Color me jealous; so much respect for him.

Got me a B team started: Dorm(portal)/Dante(jam)/Doom(beam). Been wanting to do this for awhile, but avoided it in vanilla since I didn't want to learn Dante and Doom, but I can finally do their BnBs so I figured I'd try. Team just feels solid, with some pretty cookie cutter set ups and synergy. Nothing to fancy, but effective. Cut the screen up with projectile assists while dorm does what ever and abuse teleport+assists set ups.

Thoughts and ideas? Right now it's pretty basic with fishing for BnBs, so I haven't gone into resets, shenanigans, fancy team combos, etc...
