Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3

The increased pushback only affects some of his combos, mainly the easy-mode ones (L, M, H, S, etc.). All his advanced combos work, and they do the same amount of damage as before, thanks in part to Million Dollars being a mashable hyper. My Dante/Viper DHC combo (That uses Vergil and Viper assists) does 950k, and it's pretty basic. If I added in acid rain loops and whatnot, it'd definitely hit the 1mil mark. So yeah, his damage didn't go anywhere, it just became a little harder to get to.

Btw, I don't think Hammer invul was really cut in half, was it? The invul was just removed from the startup. He's still fully invincible throughout the rest of the animation. I don't know any frame data, so whether or not the invul has (by technical terms) been cut that much is a mystery to me, but I'd wager it wasn't that much. Unless of course you're exaggerating, to which I'll say, "my bad."

The pushback doesnt really affect my combos all too much. They work just fine for me, but it's just those times when the pushback makes me whiff in the middle of my combos. It doesnt happen often, but the rare times it did, such as when playing Juece, Dante was done. It may just be online screwing my inputs so it doesn't come out as fast though.

As for the Hammer, yea, I'm over-exaggerating lol I'm just so used to feeling like a boss with it in Vanilla with full invincibility and now I can be air thrown or beat out on startup which makes me facepalm hard. The nerf was justified on all fronts, but that doesn't mean i can't be a little salty about it XD

Pretty impressive spread. Hard to say if its because they're top tier, or really easy to use. Surprised there are no Vergils. Either he's lower tier, or he's far more difficult to use effectively. Or perhaps his relatively unsafe fighting style makes it difficult for him to do much against the safer stuff the others can pull out?

Kinda sad that Chris G. didn't make it, I saw his Firebrand a while back and thought it was pretty impressive with what he could do with it. I think he probably should've used him as the lead-in instead of Hawkeye. Doom's just too unfair against Hawk's keep-away style.

By the way, does anyone know of any simple re-launch combos for Vergil? I'm getting that basic magic series combo down and I want to try something a little harder and a little bit more damaging. I don't think I'm quite ready for Vergil's BnB post-623L combos.

Zero is the only top tier character among that spread. Possibly Dormmamu too. The characters/teams we're seeing work in tournament right now are just really easy to use. Give the game some time to evolve, and I guarantee that the players who dedicate their time to use the higher execution/more elaborate strats will be the ones winning. And Vergil is a character that will take a bit of time to break open to his full potential, let alone for players to get good with him. He's top 5 from where I stand, and at worst I see him as top 8.

Chris G. is never going to get anywhere with Firebrand if he doesn't have a team that allows Firebrand to take advantage of his cheap stuff. He should just play Hawkeye/Ryu/(any other character besides Firebrand). Or build a team around Firebrand. Either way works.

Just do the hard shit.
