Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3

They could have done everyone a favor and just released strider as DLC and patched shit...All other characters look really shitty. And the new look hurts my eyes.

But I don't play the game I just watch. Fight for my amusement.

What does everybody think about the new look for the health bars and such?

I think that the new look is complete ass, just like all the other capcom games...

Literally my brains blew all over my computer when I came across this shit. Capcom fanboys time to bend over.
Hahahaaha OMG.
I knew it was coming but man, surprised me anyway.

I hope they nerf x factor so that I can watch some interesting tournament vids.

Strong rumors started circulating that a super version was coming out within weeks of the original game's release. That's kind of why I held off on buying the game and played my brother's instead. Pretty incredible that they're releasing a new version within 8 months after the first game. Poor Capcom fans; canceled Megaman Legends 3 and now your MvC3 game is already obsolete.

Still... I think I finally have a team now. Vergil, Firebrand and Dr. Strange.

As for Vergil, I suspect he'll be exactly like his DMC3 self. Since that's the only version that we've got of him. So it's likely he'll have Beowulf and Force Edge moves with him. Which means we could see Lunar Phase, Shooting Star, Round Trip, Stinger and more. Since Yamato is his signature weapon, it also means that we'll see Judgment Cut and Rapid Cut, though I wonder if those will be his supers. Obviously, he'll have his Devil Trigger as a super, but it's likely he'll be a lot more limited in terms of moves compared to Dante and rely more on power hits and speed. Maybe he might be more beginner friendly than Dante (in DMC3, some players seem to better able handle Vergil over Dante for some reason or another). I think - knowing Capcom - they'll end up making him fairly execution heavy. Though it would be interesting if they made some of Vergil's moves based on holding down buttons (like Zero) so you could execute moves like Round Trip after a combo to extend it and push offense. I wonder how they'll handle Dark Slayer, though. It's not exactly a teleport in DMC3.

Looking at Firebrand, his entire movelist is based on his Red Arremer from Super Ghouls and Ghosts, including his dive-bomb and fireball. Seems like he might have something from Demon's Crest too (his stone form is definitely pulled from there). I noticed that he has Flight (like Storm and Thor), I wonder how effective it'll be in the real game, maybe it might even be fairly practical. I also noticed that he has an attack where he launches a fireball down at the enemy and it explodes creating a little fire wall on the ground. Seems like Firebrand could play lockdown pretty well.

As for Dr. Strange... I have nothing. The guy's been something of a Deus Ex Machina in the Marvel Universe. No real signature powers or weaknesses and he tends to float between god mode and typical Marvel hero. At best, he might fight somewhat similar Dormmamu. Probably a lot faster, though.

Someone posted the move lists for the four revealed characters (to be playable at SDCC?)

That can't be all their moves. What about Strider's Ragnarok? Also... really Capcom? Making Ghost Rider DP-heavy like that?
