Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3

how about capcom saying, "look if you don't know what a dragon punch is there is a 0% chance that you bought this game and are going to play it online."

...........

because that is the reality of it.

this is not going to increase profit at all. it lets you filter out people of a lower rank than you, doesn't it? so is that the same as saying, "look, if you want to play the guys who have gotten good you are going to have to work hard and get there as well" or "high rank matches are not for noobs you can't play there."

YES IT IS.

also, it isn't even a filter that is required. a big red flag over their name so that i could boot on sight would also be sufficient.

Ummm lobo...Simple mode restricts a LOT of your characters potential. Not only do you lose the option to select a lot of normals, you lose access to a lot of specials and hypers. So if they are landing combos they're not maxing out the potential by any means. I can't stress how limited you are in that mode and really what combos it gives you access too...are easy enough to do in normal mode you shouldn't feel like your at a disadvantage. Even mashing through the magic series with normal mode should give you something similar.

I don't think you've actually read what Simple Mode does and assume it gives you just simple commands of the full character. You're vastly self-nerfed if you opt for Simple Mode and the skills needed to match it in Normal mode is very low that you should be able to surpass it soon or at the very least match it. A Simple Mode player will not be able to compete with a decent player who understands even a few of the basics. If I'm correct all they get is:

Attack = L and will go LMH (or a basic series that works with that character).
Special = they only get 4 specials...so if you're dante...yeah lol
Hyper = only get 1 hyper!

You lose 2 or more hypers, a lot of specials for some characters, and no way to do M or H without comboing. I'm not even sure if you get your command normals.

If they did it to Ivy in SC4 it would be like if all my combos did half damage with no RO option and I would get SS and not iCS/CS. I would also have like 4 moves in each stance. So noooooo...

I would totally be on your side if they had more access to the character, but as of now I feel simple Mode is so nerfing it's not even an issue. Also as well as you play SC4, you should have a mindset on the game to be able to quickly surpass any issue you have with Simple Mode players even if you've never played a versus game. I think you're just misinformed. Try playing with Simple mode just to test how bad it is.

I've played both simple and normal. Simple nerfs you so badly, I can see it as only usable by people that just picked up the game because they heard its easy to play with a specific mode. Hell my fiancée hates fighting games other than SC and she was having fun with simple mode, so I can see how its designed to entice new people to the series.

So what if you lose to people online that are using simple mode? Thats like saying, you lost to someone online in SC4 spamming stupid attacks over and over, it means nothing.

Also wanted to offer a button layout for stick. Gonna try it when i get home, but it hybrids TVC with MVC and i think it will be more ergonomically viable for assist combos:

L | M | H | A1
S | * | - | A2

* = L+M+H if you want a button dash

So you get that nice TVC attack layout but the comfort of vertically aligned assist buttons like mvc2 and provides a lot of easy ways to do simultaneous press without doing hand gymnastics. The dash is also in a nice place if you opt for a button dash. Tell you how it goes when i get home ^_^

MVC3 is fun, but this game is aaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyuuuuuuuusssssss!!!!!!!!!!

I'm telling that, BBCS is a good game!Cs2 will be out soon enough, so you should atually try to learn it! =D

As for MvC3, it's already in dire need of a patch. The game had, like, ten-billion loketests and we still end up with this ish.
