Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3

Well apparently he was mostly complete but they ran into a technical problem they couldn't fix in time and had to cut him. Knowing that he seems very likely as DLC, since so much time has already gone into him.

Well got to play a lil today. Didn't get any practice time or even a look at the command list so lot of guessing but very first impressions:

  • This game is NOT slow. It looks very slow in videos, but the feel of it is very fast. So just to put that at rest...
  • Sentinal feels different. I only played him a few rounds and couldn't quite grasp his normals but I couldn't play him like MvC2 with jumping into a barrage of boots stomps. It is sexy having that launcher tho.
  • Things are VERY safe. I was able to punish very little and unsafe things had a tight window to react on, making unsafe rushes somewhat viable with enough commotion.
  • X-factor cannot cancel hit stun as far as i could tell.
  • Controls take a little getting use to but I found myself doing combos into launcher and areal raves very easy once I got it down and really I could juts kind mash my way into a launcher...which i did a lot desperately trying to figure thins out.
  • Combos are large and scary as they appear O_O, but somehow the matches still make it near the timer. So in a weird way it's ok.
  • The stage feels VERY large. When you get pushed back you have a lot of area to cover to get back in, but I did find that the movement in the game was very good and allowed for easy ways to get in if your played smart.
  • If you don't learn to advancing guard...you will lose. Rushdown characters have devastating combos if left to continue guessing their way in.
  • Ryu Haduken is actually good...and I love his hyper haduken.
  • X-Factor makes you stupid fast and really makes any feelings of the game being too slow fly right out the window. X-factor vs X0factor fights are very tense and will provide a new kind of drama to the series, crazy shit happens.
  • It doesn't feel like you can do the same bullshit loops and lockdowns as we saw before. The pushback and sheer size of the stage lead to the match having a lot of moving around and changing position so it feels very raw and organic.
i only played about 6-7 rounds, but ask me anything and i might know. Once again my experience was picking up an arcade stick and guessing what I saw on youtube...but my first areal rave into an OTG hyper felt awesome...and easy.

How much more awesome can this game possibly get?

Best lines in this game!

Felicia @ Doramu "Hey! You're head's on fire!"

Deadpool @ Magneto "*in Magneto voice* Magneto! Welcom to DIE!"

Spidey @ Ryu "You must got a black belt in stupid to think you could beat me!"

Capt. America @ Zero "You're name's Zero? Hope you don't fight like one..."

Iron Man @ Specer "What? Just the arm? Can't afford the rest of the suit?"

Capt. America @ Iron Man "You think I'm going to lose to a pampered punk like you?"

Iron Man @ Tron Bon "So, doing anything after this?"

I like how much detailed those quotes was given. The only thing missing is a video of quotes when you defeat a character. Like I remember one where captain america beat iron man and tells him: that was for the civil war.
