Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3

Yeah I read that. They said the tridash nerf wasn't big though. Yuo sure a slight nerf fucks a lot characters? And free for zoners? I didn't see a lot of zoning team in MvC3. I saw Phoenix teams and team that can kill you in one go.
Not talking about tri-dash nerf. I'm talking about how you can't block during air dashes. Morrigan's ground dash is an air dash so she now cannot move forward without getting hit with some beam or whatever.

Not entirely. Outside of gathering the evidence, he's rather straightforward, so I don't see this mixup game you're talking about. Every Wright player will have probably the same strat: Get to Turnabout stance ASAP, just like every how Phoenix player has the same basic gameplan of getting to 5 bars by the time Phoenix comes out. He definitely has some good stuff, but he's gonna get opened up by at least half the cast. Especially if they can nail him while he's still in Investigate.

Don't get me wrong, he looks fine, certainly not Hsien-Ko tier. I just don't see him as any sort of threat, and probably won't until some stupid obscure tech is found on him (Which is doubtful as well).

There's very few teams built around zoning in MvC3.0, but that's really only because rushdown is rewarded more heavily, and not many people like laming the opponent out. If you want to try a zoning team in 3.0 though, I'd suggest Mag/Doom/Sent. You can literally mash Disruptor while calling Drones and Missiles all day, then run left-right mixups with Mag's tri-dash whenever you feel like it. You really shouldn't even need to have Sent on point 75% of the time, considering how solid Mag and Doom are together.

First post: I just got a good feeling that's all man. I need to see the rest of his moveset to see i h e has mix up or not. But I think he does have a mix up. From what I got from the video was that he is no mvc3 hulk. He has move to the plate that meets the eye.

Second post: That's why I think Necro is making too much of a big deal about the dash nerf. There aren't many zoning teams in this game and there is a mass amount of players that like to zone anyway. So, that's why I think Morrigan will be deadly with or without an assist.

Well if it's just a feeling, then I won't take that away from you. Anything is possible, after all. Just look at Viper. For a while she was considered the worst character in the game, and now she's #1 (no joke). As far as seeing the rest of his movelist, you can look up Seth Killian's demos of characters that he did for IGN. They're on SRK's homepage.

And the airdash nerf is to help zoning become a more viable option. Capcom is trying to encourage resets and zoning over long combos and rushdown in UMvC3. Thing is, that airdash nerf doesn't solve much. People that have teleports are just gonna dominate everyone, and if you see someone air-dashing towards you, just throw out a fullscreen hyper and they get blown up. I have this feeling it'll increase chances of a happy birthday too, because players will be calling assists more often to cover their approach. I can see what Necro is saying about Morrigan too.

For some reason, and apart from Dr. Strange's teleports, I'm not too afraid of teleporting characters. Could be talking out of my ass, but unless you're not paying attention, you should be able to block more than half the mixups in match. I don't have the best reactions in the world, but I can see Dante type and speed teleporting fairly well.

I have more trouble blocking instant overheads and very fast tri-dashing to be honest.

Well Dante's teleport is pretty easy to deal with, because he'll always end up in the same spot. I was referring mainly to how teleporting characters will dominate in rushdown because they won't need to risk airdashing in to start an offense. Just run your teleport stuff as usual, no adjustment necessary.
