todays music sucks

But that's also the point, being easy to play doesn't mean it is not worth it or unoriginal either. Many awful metal bands have guitar solos in every song simply to HAVE guitar solos. They aren't necessary if they don't fit. Being complicated to be complicated isn't worth it if you don't make a statement, in my eyes.

I hear what your saying and I agree with the guitar solo thing. bands do have guitar solos in almost every song but that I'm okay with as long as it's something that's feasible. One of my favorite bands Versailles has a guitar solo for both guitarist in about every song but one of them is the best in the world and the other guy does a damn good job at keeping pace. the style of the guitar solos brings an atmosphere to the song. now here's an artist that uses every instrument known to man (yes every instrument) in her compositions. now this song is very beautiful to me because of the song as a whole. singing, instruments, atmosphere, tempo. Akiko Shikata is an artist I just heard of but she's so intelligent when it comes to music that I instantly loved her and got most if not all of her music.

In the end to truly appreciate music, think of it like this:

Does the song I'm listening to deserve my time?

Will it match my "swag"?

Is the lyrics awesome and captivating to go with the BGM?

Am I gonna play it again?

etc.

For instance. Rap/hip-hop.

Sure everyone follows the trend of "clean music with clean captivation". But I just say: let the music penetrate that sweet spot of yours on how you feel about it. Imho, it helped stop making me narrow-minded to hearing foul words since I grew up with a clean mouth. I will curse when it's necessary as to rappers sometimes play with some curse words with sly and smooth metaphors with deep meanings. Sure non cursing rappers are great, but cursing doesn't hurt as long as you have a coherent rap or so. If not, use your beat to get me to enjoy the music. But if you curse and yell a lot like DMX, man are you unique lol. In a entertaining way...

I find the lack of class disturbing. What with all these gangsta brothers making money in the music industry without making music, laughable. And with a lot of talentless neglected mom boy bitches crying and screaming lusting for fame, but above all acceptance. Sure every "genre" has really good and really bad music (mostly bad). But music can't be defined by race, quality, equality, history, future of life or above all the ideology of becoming part of a trend or make mainstream shite people fall head over heels for because it's been intergrated into your minds that just because it has a high budget, it's automatically good, like Justin Bieber or Halo or fucking North Korea or whatever. There is only one genre of music and that comes from: the heart. That is when the art is created. All other "music" in my eyes is complete trash. FEEL THE MUSIC and you will appreciate it so much more. Or I'm just a philosophical tit, your pick.
P.S. Paragraphs can suck one.

F$#K Paragraphs!
I like the song and your philosophical way of thinking. I also like the style of the song. the only thing that I have trouble getting around is your Yoda pic avatar. I'm reading you in depth post and then I see his green ass. French singer Emilie Simon. No one does what she does. She's also my favorite singer's favorite artist.
