There once was D.O.A (DEAD OR ALIVE)

you came to a terrible place. DoA is flamed here for credible reasons.

I understand DOA is flamed here lol, it's actually flamed almost @ every community I'm apart of lol. Sadly it gets flamed by one of its own competitive communities (Won't say any sites). I just want thoughts on how you guys view it could be changed competitively. Thanks for your feed back :-)

I always appreciated DOA as a fun game with interesting and memorable characters. While I never bothered getting into it competitively, I used to play it casually quite a lot back in the Dreamcast days. The characters appealed to me much more than Tekken and especially more than VF's. If a new one ever comes out I will probably get into it, at least casually.

I don't know about flamed here. As with most things, there's not so much a general consensus as much as there's just a group of vocal people. I know or a fact quite a few of the Chicago Calibur players love DoA. The only reason I don't play anymore is because I felt like my reaction was amazing at it before but 4 years o the Army pretty much took away any semblance of skill I had.

As for gripes with the game? I just didn't like how it seemed like the ninjas had everything going for them.

I got into this game after SC4 online had failed me. It's a very enjoyable action oriented game. Great dynamic stages and character animations. I played as the old man and the commando for a while. There was a mechanic that I didn't like (wish I could remember) that constantly kept locking me into a throw trap. Still a good game though
