The "What Should I Study?" Thread

As every teenager, I'm concerned about what I'm gonna do with my life. It's not -just- about finding the right college, but the right career, specially with all this advertising of silly carers like game-making. So I decided to start this thread, so that everyone can ask and/or share their opinions and experiences.

So first things first, let the me ask: What is your position about Computer Science? I've been considering this for a while now. I like math, I absolutely LOVE computers, and programming seems like fun. The problem? My programming experience is reduced to a pair of online BASIC tutorials, a Python online book, and a little silly language called "Small Basic", which I used to make a pong clone and a little converter for my chemistry teacher. And also, since I came to this country last year, I'm just in Algebra II, which is a disadvantage considering most cs kids are already in Calculus AB.

What do you think? Any computer scientists/engineers out there? Any kids wondering what to do? Discuss!

I SHO DONT study but still get good grades. Anyways I'm thinking of being a business agent for a superstar. GET THAT MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stick to whatever you like, but if you're in college try and take different classes because you may find out that you really have a knack for something you never even considered.

Seek the guidance counselors. They're suppose to help people like you. Once they tell you what need to do, follow their guidelines. If the guidelines towards your goal makes you "unhappy", go to them to switch until you finally find what you're seeking. That's the best advice I can give to you.
