The Weight Loss Thread

One of the best things about weight loss isn't just how it affects yourself but even others. My brother and his girlfriend, having seen my weightloss and hearing my "rants" on the benefits of losing weight, have started the same diet and plan as myself. Though theirs a tad different... But in one week my brother has lost 6 lbs. and his girlfriend has lost 2 lbs. I hope that they stick to it. I'm glad that they've decided to help themselves.
 
My internet's down thanks to some dude driving down the street and knocking down wires so I'm on my iPhone. Blah... 3G loading is horrible. It's preventing me from updating my cal intake on MFP.com's tracker, but I know what I've eaten so meh... I don't like to break routine. =\
 
So oddly enough... This week's weigh-in was 182lbs. No difference. I still had less calories than my TDEE and I did my exercise, so yeah, I dunno... Although, I was in New York yesterday and have been up since yesterday with a few naps on the ride back. I think I'll have to weigh myself tomorrow? I'll see...
 
Well if you didn't lose any weight this week don't get discouraged. Even the fitness guru Tony Horton himself will tell you that weight can fluxuate 10 or so pounds. I've always had periods where I lose weight, gain weight, and then lose weight again. So many factors can play with those few pounds (water weight or muscle for example) so people shouldn't get too discouraged if they gain a pound or didn't lose anything in a week, cause chances are it might be gone by the time you look again. This is why some people recommend checking the scale every 2 weeks or do the natural scale by seeing how your clothes fit on you. Cause it's so easy to get discouraged when you don't reach a goal

I know when I went down to 237 I ended up goin back to 241 then went down to 234 and back up to 237 and then back down to 230. I'm assuming i'm at about 232-233 now but I know my overall weight will decrease as long as I'm continuing to my routines like it has been doing in the past.
 
Yeah, I did feel a tad discouraged today, but I was kind of prepared. I told myself early on this was a possibility so I'm not too shocked and have just kept it moving.
