The road from Button Mashing noob to the Big Leagues. Help me please.

Stay away from ranked. It's horrible. Only good for trolling. Next, stick to fighting people on here and/or do player matches. I'm pretty sure many people on here would like to fight you.

Hello, Zummy. Welcome to the forums. You've already been given the tour by lasercakes so I won't be a broken record. I do want to tell you that if you have any questions, please feel free to PM myself, one of the other moderators of the forums, or post in your thread here. Please do not make another thread to post up screen shots of you matches online. This forum is for introductions only. I went ahead and merged the thread you just made with this one, but take a moment to review the site rules. Please don't look at this as a warning or anything like that. I only want to see you stay out of trouble. I'm here to help. Welcome again!

EDIT: ninja post Enkidu. Sorry mate! I know better now. :)

Anyway, I'm bout to turn on my ps3 and play a few offline matches, if any of you want to vs me, just send me off a friend invite and I'll fight you asap!

So I've been playing a lot of soul calibur 4....

Zummy, Welcome to the boards! Coming here was the best thing you could do if your looking to get better at Calibur. Somewhere buried in this site is all the info needed to become a pro.

Now in my opinion once you've read through the links Lasekcakes gave you you should dedicate time into choosing a character, it'll be easier to understand the basics of the game if you have a single character to test everything out and perfect with. Now I would personally chose Hilde since she is already confirmed and her charging mechanism might translate to other characters like ZWEI, she also has great step in SC4 so once you get to that youll find it very useful and possibly help with SCV's new step mechanism.

Now here is Hilde's Soul Arena, youll find everything you need to know about her and her charges there. I would start with her guide , then maybe move to her combos and maybe these guides _1_ & _2_. I would then look up some videos of he, start HERE.

Well good luck mastering the game!Hilde is slightly hard to start with so if you decide to move to someone else hit us up we'll help you with him. And iif you need any help finding more information or want any advice please ask away either here or in a PM ill help as soon as I can!
