The Misheard Phrases Thread

Back in SSBM, I played in the Japanese setting just for fun one time to see what was different. It was obvious to realize that the Japanese had no concept of plural nouns in "ICE CLIMBER", and I already knew about Koopa and Purin. I was really surprised to hear the Pokemon in Japanese. I knew that they would be different, but I wasn't prepared to hear what I was about to hear.


When Scissor appeared from the pokeball, I thought I heard "White Power". I knew the Japanese were ethnocentric, but this was a bit much.
Can someone tell me what Scissor was actually called in the Japanese?

Most of my friends heard Girlfriend too instead of Sol's gunflame.

I hear the word "usagi" (the japanese word for rabbit) all over the place in fighting games, here are a couple...

SC4: Setsuka
No clue
"usagi ochiru ga ii" which could be translated as "rabbits should die"

KoFXI: K'
"mou unzari nan da yo!" (You're already getting on my nerves!)
"mou usagi nan da yo!" (Jeez, you're a rabbit!)

Can someone tell me what Scissor was actually called in the Japanese?

Scizor's name is Japanese is Hassamu. I would know since I have one on my team and I always nickname my pokemon there Japanese names when I'm done breeding them.

I always heard "Here's my Sunday Vest, Proton Canon".
Does he really talk about his Sunday Vest?
