The Last Airbender

M. Night Shamalamadingdong is the most overrated director of all time - he is like the U2 of directors.

Please, go see Dragon Wars or The Legend of Chun-Li and you'll see the worst two movies to ever be in theaters. That and go watch The Item and you'll see the worst movie in existence. Even worse than CLose Encounters of the 3rd kind.

Clearly you never saw "The Medallion"
 
Any movie with a "budget" isn't that bad because at least you'll get a visual treat with all the audio and pacing shit. Medallion and Lightning thief both being trash yet had money behind it, like The Last Airbender and 90% of all blockbuster films.
 
I'm still here wondering what was even likable. Piercy Jackson sucked and one of the big things I pointed out was it's terrible pacing, but Avatars was far worse. Piercy Jackson also had better acting and better action. Avatars action was terrible I don't even know how you can get an ok from it. The martial arts were weak as hell and never made any sense to the scenario. Bending as Ive said did not work (look at the show, bending is an extension of your movements in this move you have to perform a small dance maneuver to summon it which makes things really look out of place). AS much as the Lightnign Thief sucked I still walked out going "meh, kids will like it". Truth is that movie shit all over Avatar in every category: Effects, Action, Acting, Pacing, Plot, etc... and a lot of those things the Lightning Thief did bad.

I can't think of a single moment in Avatar where I was content with a scene and not groaning. The one exception was a "so bad it's good moment" where the moon comes back on and the water benders immediately return to combat....by bull rushing in and tackling the nearest firebender...cuz ya need the moon to do that. If this movie was a gimped puppy I woulda put it down 20 minutes in.

Man you guys are beginning to interest me. I have to see for myself how bad this movie really is. You know what's also a bad movie? Shrek 3.
