The Last Airbender

Prince of Persia still sucked but it had redeeming aspects. It was watchable, but not worth the price of admission. I dont even get how anyone can support air bender in the least. EVERYTHING about it was bad. I have never said that about any movie besides Napolean Dynamite and Hot Rod (The only two movies in existence I feel sucked more than Airbender). And if I think about it they at least had pacing. There's literally nothing done right in this movie besides the credit scroll and advertising.

If you havent seen the show you must be going "WTF is even happening?" with all the pacing issues and incoherent plot. The action is just shit. Give me wire fu with bad one liners any day over this tripe. I can't think of a single thing that was done even passably in this film. Bad acting, narration, plot, action, pacing, coherency, relevance to source material, casting, special effects, camera, lighting. I guess the ships and back drops looked cool sometime...eh?
 
the pacing was bad but it wasn't incoherent. You'd know what was happening, youd just hate it as a movie because it's still bad.

The Last Airbenders effects were great dude, just like PoP it was one of the few things that movie did well, that is SOMETHING good about said movie, and if you don't like the effects than you're just blind or being stupid. Also if you saw it in 3D that's your bad because all 3D movies not done in Cameron tech is going to be trash.

Please, go see Dragon Wars or The Legend of Chun-Li and you'll see the worst two movies to ever be in theaters. That and go watch The Item and you'll see the worst movie in existence. Even worse than CLose Encounters of the 3rd kind.
 
The effects were a mixed bag. By themselves some where cool and some were underwhelming. What made them bad was their integration. They often didn't make sense to what was going on in the live action. Often a bending maneuver had no relevance to the generated effect. Aang could stomp his foot and get a random effect like a bubble forming. The effects rarely meshed and felt out of place and off time. The montage through the earth bending village looked terrible. The wall of water was cool but sucked for its own reason (no coi-zilla). The water bending and Aang jumping looked god awful at times and other times looked fine. Very inconsistent.
 
The earth bending village, specifically the 5 bender shooting one rock was terrible, but the look of each bending was fantastic for the most part. I mean when Aang was water bending with the master, that looked stupid for a moment and then became good and all fire bending looked great aside from the fact they were bending existing fire. But look was fine 99% of the time and application was good for 80%, all still very positive.
