I always found legendary to be a good challenge, but never too hard (Halo 2 came very close to pissing me off though XD) but here's a question:
Has anyone here ever tried a single player LASO run of campaign? (Legendary, all skulls on.)
I'm stuck on Halo 3 on 'The Covenant' and I haven't bothered to try on reach yet :/

Reach LASO is the easiest of all of them, Halo 2 is the hardest to try LASO on.

Really? In Reach, I find even Normal mode a tiny bit of a challenge. And I'm a gold in Arena this season.

The majority of Reach's campaign levels have exploits that allow you to either skip or delete the majority of its most difficult parts. Halo 3 and 1 are comparatively easy, I guess, so even though Halo 2 is the hardest Reach is right under it. Namely, Hunters and Elites in Reach are obnoxious.
