I guess maybe some people are just desensitized or they just aren't able to relate to the situations. Or maybe they just don't express sadness with tears due to some physical difference. I don't know.

I don't know what you have in mind, but no gore please. I've seen most of it (unfortunately) and it makes me more angry than sad.
