Tekken 6 is OUT!!

Borrowed this and played one online match just to see, and there was more than a full second's worth of input delay. That's only one match, but at least in ranked you're locked into playing whoever, you can't choose based on connection. So that mode is even MORE useless than it normally is in most games. I mean if you want to find people to play in Player Match that's fine, but this game requires tight timing on just about everything, so ANY input delay is just defeating the purpose.
 
I've been playing quite a few games with 5 bars or better just doing player matches and looking for custom sessions. It's turned out all right for me. I definitely notice a delay, but with a 5 bar ping, it's hard to notice.

Haven't won any games, yet. But I took the advice of everyone and started with Bruce instead of Asuka as a beginner character. He's fun, but I'm not sure why people would choose him over Asuka as a beginner's character. Since he has a crouch dash, which alone is a major execution requirement over Asuka. Sticking with him. so hopefully I'll improve at some point. Not sure what I'm going to do, though, when it comes to crouch dashes. Can't do them at all - stick, pad it doesn't matter.
 
I played Tekken online with a person I play SCIV with. I get 5 bars with her in SC yet in Tekken we get 3 and there's about 2 seconds of delay. 2 WHOLE SECONDS. Never playing online again.

I went and bought this game forgetting that I HATE IT. But everyone else loves it and as a person who owns a PS3 it seemed like a requirement.

Pros:
-It's Tekken, seems to run like Tekken always has (minus T4 I suppose) so good for Namco.
-Nice graphics, stages look nice, Lars looks so yummy thank you Namco.
-Music sounds pretty good
-Campaign isnt so shabby after it stops forcing you to be Lars. Looks like they put some effort into cutscenes... if Project Soul did this, people may actually know what's happening in SC.
-IMO, customization is better than in SC.

Cons:
-"Story mode" for each character is four stages long and must be accessed through Campaign then Arena. Characters can only be played after you beat them in Campaign
-Azazel
-Online sucks
-Azazel
-Load times are unusually long even after installing.

I forgot the rest.

Overall good game for any Tekken fan or fighting fan with the rare exceptions eg. those people who call it pus filled, and me.
 
another con for me is that to rank up after 1st dan,
you have to play ranked matches online.

which forces me to touch something i don't want to touch.
so, that pretty much pisses me off.

i fucking hate online play. god that shit is useless.

i'm also peeved that i have to play 30 online matches just to get those trophies.
thank god there's only that.
