Ok, where I am from... school has been out since June 5, but in a class I took, one the topics was homosexuality, and sex education. We dicussed about what homosexuality was and stuff like that.
Now before you move on, I want to give you a little info on where I live. Im originally from Michigan, which is a mix between conservatives and liberals but mostly liberals. Eventually we moved to Texas , which is mostly a conservative society, where everyone goes to church every sunday and stuff like that.
In class, the big question pop up into our class discussion, and that was whether being gay was a choice or born with? After the question, the entire class was talking. Since being in a REALLY religious society, everyone thought it was choice, and could be easily changed.
I am not trying to start a big debate, but I just wanted to see what you guys thought on this topic.
I, personally, think that homosexuality is born with, and NOT a choice.
If you disagree. and think its a choice, answer this for me. If being gay is a choice then why would gay people choose to be hated and bullied everyday, rather than saying they're straight and everything will be "ok"? Also, if being gay is a choice, then when did straight people choose to be straight?
