I admit I have a huge bias towards typically masculine traits as opposed to typically feminine ones appearance wise, often in excess, too (when I'm considering it exclusively with my groin). I find the statement following your question odd, however. If you're at all interested, by all means go for whomever you like: our opinions on butch/femme preferences shouldn't have to affect that decision.
