Anyone have any good book suggestions? I'm currently finishing Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn (author of Gone Girl). I like dark shit and fantasy and sci-fi and not teen readers. ALSO no philosophical bullshit please.

Game of thrones is good and dark and fantasy,
Or hitchhikers guide to the galaxy but that's more comedy than dark.

Have you read Iain Banks? His sci-fi (under the name Iain M. Banks) is brilliantly dark and brutal. His first novel, The Wasp Factory, is ordinary fiction but is extremely morbid and one of my favourite books.
