Thanks for the replies guys much appreciated. I'll have to experiment with those chars u mentioned when I get the chance. Also, how about Ryu vs. Akuma...who's easier to start with? I think Akuma's air fireballs opens up a whole new zoning + mindgame, right? And what about Dan vs. Ryu and Akuma? Dan seems pretty shitty, but that's a good thing to me.

OK, how about this...who's the most technical character in the game? Like difficult to use, not difficult to win. Say Ivy and Sets for example.

Bison's got a pretty mean rushdown game. You don't have to play him like a turtle. He's not exactly the greatest on defense, considering his lack of a good reversal.
 
Feel free to add me on PSN if you want to practice a bit. I think I'm pretty much the best player here besides KDZ. Sure, you'll get a thrashing but it's better to learn from superior players than try to play people of equal skill and learn bad habits.
 
BoringRyu, that's very cool of you and I will certainly do that, thanks dude. I don't have the game with me now, but when I get it back I will certainly hit u up. Is SF4 ur main game, or you just play it a lot as a side game? I play mainly Tekken 6 nowadays, but I've always wanted to learn a variety of fighting games. I started off with SC2, but eventually branched off because I got tired of going to tournaments and not being able to play my main game. My 2D fundamentals are a bit lacking...mainly from single player hard mode fireball spamming back in the day lol, but I do have some exposure to cross-ups, links, and combo-into-supers stuff cuz one of my friends here is really good at 3S. I also learned a bit of charge partitioning messing with Urien back in 3S, but my execution is still limited. I'm looking forward to being thrashed and seeing how I can improve.
