i'm just trying to grasp this game. I have a very competitive nature with video games and I wanted to really get into street fighter since I've never been great at it. Now I'm finding it to the most anal retentive and unrewarding experience EVER in my career of gaming. I'm getting some of these combos...but some inputs are just absurd. Take something as simple as Sagat's fake kick...has anyone here honestly pulled this off without using their turbo? And if you have stop...now think...is having to do all that work REALLY worth the out come?
Maybe street fighter just isn't my game. I feel like i'm fighting with the controls more than the strategy and fun of it. Yeah my Sakura will HP you, but fuck if half the time it wants to allow the followup haduken to become a guarantee. Nothing sucks more than shoryukening a frame late and giving your opponent that freebie.
As for the outburst on that guy. I'm fully aware gaming forums are home to some of the biggest assholes on the planet. Just sometimes the same unhelpful crack to buff their cyber egos just gets old. Seriously, I'm a very nice guy, anyone acted that fucking retarded in front of me and I think it be general consensus ANYONE would be kicking their ass. And more than likely your probably one of those anti-social little pricks who is angsty over their real life issues...key to why you need to be such a fuck ass with the safety of the internet.
I'm angsty over a frustrating game...don't poke the bear...bear will eat your face off. grrrr~rawr~meow?

I just want to have those "simple combos" feel like part of my game and not some flashy maneuver that works 2% of the time. But this system is insane to me.

All I have to say is never play Viper. You will end up killing yourself if you're already getting THIS frustrated with other characters.
