SSBM player from East Coast

I just got SCV via gamefly and I gotta say...

THIS GAME MADE ME SO MAD.

But then I found this website, read some guides, watched some videos and as I type this, a Win screen is plastered on my tv with a gorgeous 5 win streak to accompany it.

My name is Lite and I'm from Pennsylvania. I used to play Super Smash Bros. Melee (SSBM) competitively but thats been halted due to some arisen issues and the such. As of right now I'm actually really interested in the Soul Caliber scene.

Currently, I main Ezio and second Z.W.E.I.
Every match in the New York colosseo has been either a win from me, or a close match going to them. The only exception to this are the huge characters: Nightmare, Astaroth, and Siegfried.
I cant obviously can't out-range them, and getting close has all but been failed attempts.

Do they still play SSBM competitively? I thought they all moved to Brawl effectively years ago?

Welcome to the community. I can't help you with that, since I actually suck at this game. Haha.
 
Greetings from a SSB fan as well ezio is interesting you have to remember that he can range and will cause plenty of damage from half way out i'm not saying spam his range though but use it as a mix up and with all big chars ezio doesn't have a problem beating them in speed learn all his quick attacks and punish (hit them for being unsafe) the large characters gimme a shout if you feel you wanna talk anymore about it

For the most part, a lot of the community did move to Brawl, but there are still huge SSBM tournaments. Even the SSB64 community is still in tact.
