As much as i liked the Sonic Adventure games, i didnt like the climax of there games where "O crap something went wrong on both Sonic and Ronbotnik's side. Lets team up and destroy that conflict together." The enemy is Robotnik, it should stay that way. >:) Other than that, the old school games and Sonic Rush are my favorites and even thou a lot of people didnt like it, i loved Sonic the Fighters (Dont hurt me. :p). :D
Also, just thought id pass that infomation along, google a site called Sonic Retro. If you want the old school sonic games with a new twist (Which you know Sega will never do), you've come to the right place. They even put Knuckles in Sonic 1 with all his moves. Quick recomendations.

About sonic games in general though, I originally came in here and didn't read before posting. After reading about how the werehog's levels were half assed, it forced myself to realize the truth in that statement...and then I realized how little I cared. I never played god of war so I can't really compare the similarites and differences but even without the comparsion I can understand how some of the aspects of the werehog seems...lacking. Like in some (or most) of the stages when the only diffcultly that is presented is how well you can balance the manhog on a thin platform. Or the borderline RETARDED enemies that, with the exception of a few, are pathetic as hell (they will let you fully charge up an attack, about 7-9 seconds, in their face and willingly take the ohkobitchslap. Really?) Knowing all this though, I still enjoyed playing through the levels as it felt like a nice break from those day levels...I don't care what people say, those things can get stupid hard.
Also, about those DS games. Are they really that good? I haven't played any of those yet due to my attempt at completing unleashed/sonic mega collection stuff. I'll buy them eventually, but I'd like an opinion from someone.

I LOVE the old sonic games, Sonic 3 is by far my favorite! I look at recent sonic games and think... What happened?
I had high hopes for the PS3/360 game but it was very disappointing. I don't even want to talk about "The Storybook Series" or "Sonic Unleashed"... The only good sonic game to come out in the past 4 years is "Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood" everything else is lazy garbage.
